The Scabs - (Set time: 12:00 AM)

The Scabs have it all: the talent, the skills, the show, the songs, the presentation and the desire to kick as much ass as is humanly possible and then some. The band that has always been known for its outstanding live performances has kicked it up to a new level. What this band has that no other original rock-n-roll band has is the GROOVE BABY Lead singer, Bob Schneider, has honed his considerable talents as a frontman into a nonstop tour de force of energy and excitement. Laying out the foundation of the funk is Bruce Hughes on the bass and David "Snizz" Robinson on the drums. David Boyle lays down an unquestionably cool bed of vintage keyboard sounds. The addition of the one two punch of Adam Temple and Charles Rieser on guitars gives this band enough six-string juice to quench any headbanging rockweenie's thirst. To top off this, they've added the grooveline horns: three tightlipped badboys from the valley who will literally blow you away; Carlos Sosa on saxophone, Fernie "Maddog" Castillo on trumpet and Rolo on longhorn. The Scabs take the listener on a joyride through a musical landscape where life is fast, love is cheap and everybody's whites are whiter and colors are brighter.
Wisebird - (Set time: 11:00 PM)

About Wisebird
Coming upon you like the shadow of a great bird of prey, Wisebird... well... Wisebird would likely hate an introduction like that. Metaphoric overdrive would simply not do. What works for them is a straight-up approach. Wisebird plays authentic, soulful rock-- thick with heavy, swampy rhythm and groove. The stuff that comes from the gut. Although these are intelligent guys playing well-crafted music, it isn't over-thought. It may even be described as "brilliantly obvious", as in you don't need to think too hard to figure it out. This is a good thing. Their music-- like their powerful live performances-- is fresh, vibrant and new, yet it is still somehow familiar. "One could lazily say they sound like The Allman Brothers but more accurately they're the children of Leon Russell and Freddie King, real blues and blood soaked bar rooms surfacing in their heavy notes."(1). If one were differently lazy, one could say they are like a more organic version of Black Crowes wishing they were Skynyrd. However one describes the sound, there seems to be something for most music junkies in the mix. For song lovers, this is lyric-driven music that doesn't take endless left turns. For rockers, Wisebird's guitar-driven Southern strut screams out "Freedom!" (but not in a Mel Gibson way). For jam kids, it is reminiscent of the late 1980's when Phish was channeling Lowell George-- either through Little Feat or his production of Robert Palmer's best work-- in some of their raw, sweaty covers.
Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, Wisebird is working the road hard from Austin, TX-- the city they now call home. Thanks to the support of a few festivals (including their very own Desert Rocks Music Festival in Moab, UT) and some key reviews of their performances, they have garnered an enthusiastic and growing fan base from The Golden Gate to Lake Pontchartrain. Having been recently picked up by a national agency, Wisebird is expanding their touring to include most of the Southeast. "Wisebird is for real. Wafting organ, searing guitars, and a thumping back line, they are powerfully eye opening, FUN and should not be underestimated nor missed if a chance arises."

BlackBone Child - (Set time: 10:00 PM)
About Black Bone Child Hailing from Austin, Texas, live music capitol of the world, Black Bone Child is a creation like no other. In a world of music hybrids, members Donny James and Kenneth M. are offering a new incite into the world of blending the old with the new. Between an exciting fresh take on slide guitar and driving distorted bass lines, this energetic and rhythmically based rock keeps the dance floors packed and listeners hanging on every note.
In the spring of 2008, in association with White Door Entertainment, BBC self-produced their debut album at White Door Studios in Austin, TX. The result is a product that showcases not only BBC’s songwriting and playing abilities, but also their talents from the other side of the microphone as engineers and producers and even their eye for graphic design. Black Bone Child is a perfect example of a growing niche of completely self-produced “Do it yourself” musicians, paving the way through an industry clustered with ancient business models.
With the acquisition of Steve Hudson (live drums) and Jason King (live guitar), Black Bone Child hit the live music scene in Austin in the fall of 2008. Within a year's time, the band established themselves as one of the premier Rock bands in Austin. Since then, BBC has toured incessantly, playing over 100 dates, including multiple regional tours, and 2 national tours, spanning across a majority of the US.
